Yilan County Government — Rebranding (Concept)

Yilan County Government Rebranding is a conceptual rebrand created for an exhibition — a design proposal rather than an implemented identity for the county.
The concept grows out of Yilan's rice paddies. We took the parceled, geometric way rice fields are divided across the landscape and translated that sense of proportion into the identity — first echoed in the logo, then carried through the wider graphic system. By splitting each layout into blocks and shifting between different tones of green, the visuals capture the patchwork rhythm of paddies seen from above.
This paddy-field system then extends across a full suite of applications — paper bags, envelopes, letterheads, and document folders — giving the identity a grounded, distinctly Yilan sense of place.
